Having gone through the more than 500 pages in it, I can easily recommend that others should get and read it, they will not be sorry. Mr. Ortiz has a distinct talent in being able, with the Lord's help and guidance, to track down the real meaning of key words in the Bible. All this is important because the Lord's return may be closer than we think and believers need to be warned as to what the Word really, really says and means and then get ready for what lies ahead. I understand that even Hal Lindsey is now saying that believers should "prep" for the future. Even though he still, as far as I know, holds to a pretrib rapture, he says we should store up food and water because dire things may be just around the corner! So it is interesting that even a pretrib promoter is now starting to sound like the correct viewpoint found in Ortiz's scholarly writings. All of which means, as I see it, that folks should have been reading Ortiz all along instead of being bogged down in other viewpoints!
MelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29076482.post-41473162481199268962010-11-19T15:48:43.454-08:002010-11-19T15:48:43.454-08:00[I saw the above limerick written by Gabriel and t...[I saw the above limerick written by Gabriel and thought you might enjoy a limerick I was inspired to think up - Carmen]

There are writings by Joseph Ortiz
That have etymological "keys";
Joe's a competent scholar,
You get more for your dollar,
So get his fine books, if you please.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29076482.post-30810775509360485282010-11-15T19:30:01.913-08:002010-11-15T19:30:01.913-08:00Joe Ortiz is a wonderful man

They'd rather get their theology from the sensational theatrics proposed in the Dispensational novels about end times. Joe has done a great job in showing the truth.

Ted Noel, author of
"I Want to Be Left Behind"Ted Noelnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29076482.post-6846063546799175082010-11-12T15:43:38.196-08:002010-11-12T15:43:38.196-08:00I recently read this review "The Church's...I recently read this review "The Church's Heavenly Minded Views" etc. and agree with MacPherson's assessment of Joe Ortiz's excellent Bible prophecy book "The End Times Passover" which I am fortunate in owning. MacPherson accurately depicts the high level of scholarship that always comes from Ortiz's pen. In fact, I noted some of the phrases in this review which describe Joe's qualifications to present what he does from scripture: "remarkable insight," "in depth study," "mastery of ascertaining definitive meaning of key words," "proves his point," "Joe again proves his etymological astuteness," "presents us with more than sufficient scripture." I mention all this because there are those who do not share my view of Joe's trustworthiness in examining the real meaning of key words in the Bible. It would appear that such misguided persons have a worldview or agenda to defend at all costs and simply will not face up to what a scholar like Joe Ortiz has managed, with the Lord's help, to uncover from the sacred text. I can't be sure, but I would venture to guess that any critics that Joe Ortiz has have never spent a tiny fraction of the many years Joe has laboriously spent in doing what does so admirably. I heartily recommend his book "The End Times Passover" - that is, if you are curious as to what some of the "big names" in Bible prophecy have unwittingly, or deviously, left out of their books!
